s-secondary OC, finally!
first I actually planned for a muscly female Miqo'te, but my mood of her dropped and I had an urge to make him instead.
quite satisfied with how his full-body came out, tho I sucks at drawing feet orz.
this is like, the first time I have a kinda spiky-haired OC and one who actually use 100% close ranged physical offense to fight

Harsh, temperamental, egoistical, and has no sense of humor. There are bad rumors surrounding Ayato, as many people mostly see his negative traits. His negative traits often overshadow his good side that others often oblivious of.

His background story makes Ayato who he is now. Albeit he has good life at Ivorium, the impact of his bitter past affected his personality greatly. Heavy pressure from his biological family often made him stressed out. The pressure ongoing for years since his childhood stemmed inside him greatly that he hardly moves on from his past which constantly haunts him. However, on the other hand, his past also makes him to be a tidy, diligent, and discipline person with good mannerisms.

Strict training lessen his time to socialize with people, thus when he meets a stranger, he has a difficult time to get along with them. Awkward and shy, he has a hard time to initiate any conversation, and his other negative personalities make it worse. However, once someone manages to befriend with him and stubborn enough to put up with his negative traits, they will find how much valuable friend Ayato is. Since Ayato has a few friends, once he gets one, he is fiercely loyal and protective towards them.

Ayato has a gentle heart despite of his tough front. Towards people he loves deeply, he shows more of his compassionate and loving side. Ayato is even capable in giving advice and encouragement to those in need, although he is easily provoked. His patience is not great, and when he is angry, he often let his emotions get over him. At this point, mannerisms don’t apply on him anymore. Punch first, think later—which cause a trouble he’s involved in even bigger.

The hume is particularly protective towards Velala Vela and Namnco Romnco, although lately he often shows greater care and concern to the latter. Mess with them, then mess with Ayato.

 Background

Ayato’s history began from many years ago. The Shirozaki family was known for their magic talents. Since Ayato’s great grandfather’s era, the family gave birth to many talented magicians. They were pretty well-known in Meion, however they kept low profile as they didn’t really want to gain attention.

Excellent magic talents running in their bloodline became Shirozakis’ pride and joy. Ayato’s grandparents were mages, and so were his parents. However, when Ayato was enrolled by his parents to learn magic, his result was always terrible. His parents tried hard to encourage him to keep learning and never gave up, but it didn’t show any progress.

Up to the point that they realized it was all useless. That talent they had didn’t inherited to their only son.

As the only thing Ayato got was only a diss, eventually he couldn’t take it anymore and he ran away from home. Disappeared from his family and cut ties with them, he even threw away his family name. Angry and disappointed, he was overwhelmed by his emotions that it was too late for him to realize how dangerous it could be outside the cities. He was saved from a monster’s attack by a fighter, and soon after the fighter took him to Perido.

Learning that the fighter was from Ivorium, Ayato insisted to come with him. The fighter was behaved like a kind father to him, anyway. If Ayato didn’t have any potential in magic, then he might have a chance on the other way around. The fighter eventually gave up and brought Ayato along to Ivorium, eventually became his foster father and taught the young martial arts.

It was soon discovered that Ayato’s foster father was a widow with no child, who had a social status as a respectable gladiator. As his wife and children were victims of miasma, the father trained Ayato strictly. Not only in fighting—but also in morale as well. His prediction was right though as Ayato did much better in physical combat, and the hardship Ayato had through the training hardened his personality. He was taught to fight with various weapons and to hunt, even learnt how to deal with monsters outside the city walls. Through the training he had, Ayato was really good in brawling, however it became more evident day by day that his strongest point was his martial art skills.

Albeit still in training, Ayato’s skill started to show significantly. Seeing this, his father saw that it was only a matter of time until his foster son became a skillful combatant. Only one thing he was lacking—experience. In the end, Ayato was encouraged by his father to sign up as a recruit to help the guildsmen clearing the miasma. He wanted to prove his worth, and there was so many for him to learn. He had a belief that every person had something they could do, despite the weaknesses they had.

 

 Chocobo Relation

Protective , fiercely loyal, fearless || Sassy, aggressive, prideful

As Ayato’s father was strict and discipline, he gave Ayato a challenge to acquire his own chocobo, which was to tame a wild black chocobo to be his mount. It was a really daunting task, however, Ayato managed to tame one after a few tries brawling with it. His bond with Chobalt was bumpy at first, but after the incident where Ayato protected him from a monster’s attack, he started to show respect and being friendlier with the hume. Day by day their bond grew stronger, up to the point that the chocobo was fiercely loyal and protective towards Ayato. Now, the human is always seen to be with Chobalt and they are almost inseparable. Wherever he goes, Chobalt follows.

 Trivia

    -       he is ambidextrous

    -       he has a talent to be a great singer. He can sing very well and can hold his breath up to 30 seconds

    -       His chocobo, Chobalt, is named after Archibald, which means ‘bold / truly brave’. It is also named from it's feathers' color as well.

    -       Lashing out his stress? Brawling!

    -       Often has a friendly spar with knights, gladiators, fighters… And even his own chocobo.

    -       Had a scar on his back, gained from protecting his chocobo

    -       And he is actually proud of the scar.

    -       Won’t admit it that he actually likes Lalafells…

 Relationships:

    -       Velala Vela

An old friend of Ayato, met when Velly learnt white magic spells at Meion. The very first and closest Lalafell who was fearless dealing with Ayato’s harsh front and personality. She was the very first person Ayato visits after he joined the recruitment, and often seen at Berylle guild until he assigned himself to another. Ayato is protective towards Velly, mostly because she is his important friend and a magician with frail defense. The hume constantly watches over her safety during battles.

    -       Namnco Romnco

Another Lalafell Ayato cares deeply—or the person he cares the most. The time Ayato spent with him and others happened to be bad times for Namnco, which draws Ayato’s compassion faster than anyone else. Ayato trusts Namnco’s fighting abilities, however Ayato is very concerned of his emotional state. Compared to Velala Vela, Ayato shows a greater care towards the pugilist and he is more than willing to help and support Namnco with the best of his abilities. The hume is evidently very protective towards the lalafell, and even more since he joined the Perido guild. He even almost punches two persons who have serious issues with his guild leader in certain matter.

    -       Yngvarr Lowenhielm

Ayato doesn’t know him well, but he respects Yngvarr nevertheless. He is obedient towards Yngvarr as he sees the Feol way more experienced from himself. A person he looked up onto, and would love to learn from him better.
